Virtual Learning Assistance

Our Services

One of Detroit-Metro's Best Childcare & Learning Centers

Kiddie Kingdum Childcare Center will provide a stimulating and safe environment for children ages 0 to 5 years. We also provide virtual learning assistance for children in grades 0 -5 who are currently in remote learning programs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Kiddie Kingdum was founded by and is operated by an experienced childcare professional and mother of two young daughters. We provide a fun, affordable alternative to daycare with the best quality, competitive pricing and unique approach to care and learning you can find in the Detroit-Metro area.

We seek to stimulate and develop children’s problem-solving and reactive thinking skills through staff and child directed activities in our daily agenda.

Infants

Each infant will have a primary care-giver to ensure consistency, comfort and familiarity.

Toddlers

Daily planning and evaluation provides individualized routines to meet your toddler's specific needs.

Gradeschool

We provide focused attention to support gradeschool children and their daily remote learning responsiblities.
(Must provide computer and daily assignments)

  • We abide by the NAEYC Code of Ethics and Statement of Commitment

COVID-19 Precautions

We are closely following guidance from the CDC, as well as state and local officials and health authorities, as we take extreme care to maintain our safe, healthy school environment for children, families, and staff. We have enhanced our already rigorous health protocols, such as:

  • Protective Masks: Face coverings are required for any adult entering the building (we provide them to all staff members when working at the center with children). Please do your part to care for us, while we care for you.*
  • Taking Temperatures:We are screening everyone (staff, children, parents, visitors, etc.) upon arrival for temperature and evident symptoms.
  • Limited Classroom Access:To curb the spread of germs and control group size, we are having parents and family members remain in common areas of the center only.
  • Wellness Checks:Regular wellness checks are being conducted throughout the day. The parents of unwell children are notified immediately, to help stop the potential spread of any illness.
  • Safe (and Still Healthy) Dining: We are now only serving pre-plated meals to children.
  • Enhanced Health Practices: We’ve strengthened our existing cleanliness and hygiene practices (such as more frequent hand washing, and increased cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting of surfaces and items in the center).

  • *Please note, where required by law or child care licensing, children will also be required to wear face coverings.

    Our Activities

    Academics

Our number one priority outside of safety is education. Our academic curriculum focuses on different goals based on the age of your child. Spelling, math, reading, problem solving skills and even history are key elements of our curriculum.

All age groups will have academic curriculums designed for their continued development. Gradeschool children who are in virtual learning programs will follow their school's curriculum with the support of Kiddie Kindgdum staff.

    Daily

    Arts & Crafts

Allowing children to express their creativity is an important aspect of child development. Drawing, painting and crafts are all activities that we use to help tap into the creative minds of our children.

    All age groups

    Intermittently throughout the week.

    Dance & Fitness

Children love to dance. So does our staff. Not only is it a fun activity, but it's a great way to reinforce the importance of physical fitness. In addition to dancing, once a week a certified physical fitness instructor will guide our children through a fun fitness routine that will support healthy physical development.

    All age groups.

Daily physical exercises and weekly fitness routines.

    Etiquette

Teaching children good manners from a young age will make good etiquette a part of thier daily lives and will remain with them for years, if not for the rest of their lives.

Good etiquette is not just about saying ‘please’ and ‘thank you’. Meeting new people is a part of life and it is never too early to learn how to make conversation, be polite to others and create an impactful first impression. From table manners and conversation skills we work to consistently teach all of the etiquette essentials to our children.

    All age groups.
